Visiting Grandma Gen

One of my favorite things about going to Tonasket is visiting my grandma. She is 95 years old and such a joy to be around! Every time I visit her I get the biggest kick out of her, as she is still filled with funny comments.

During this trip to Tonasket we were able to see my grandma quite a few times and only one of the visits she was sleeping! Which is amazing, because at 95 yrs old she does a lot of sleeping. :)

On the visit photographed below we found my grandma in the dinning room. She had just finished lunch and was getting ready to head back to her room for her afternoon nap. We walked back to her room with her for a visit. Yes, when I say we walked back to her room with her, we really did! She is 95 and walks (with the assistance of a walker) at a speed that is almost unbelievable! She amazes me!

Below is a picture of a notice that is posted on my grandmas closet. My mom has fought for years with the staff at the nursing home to allow my grandma to have candy. All of her life she has enjoyed candy and sweets...when you reach your 90's apparently that doesn't change! I had to take a picture of the notice as I got the biggest kick out of it because this has been a fight for years! Finally our family has won the battle and my grandmother can have as much candy as she wants!
