Week One

Our first week has passed and we are preparing to board the boat next week. We had decided to take the first week off to detox from work. Nick thought this week would be full of fun, but I had another plan for us. I now realize it was a crazy plan, but it is going to make us feel GREAT once it is completed.

Sounds crazy, but I wanted to do some "Spring Cleaning", go through stuff, get rid of stuff, and clean like we have never cleaned our place before. The task was not a simple task...and it is actually not complete, but so far it feels wonderful to have a place that "shines like the top of the Chrysler Building".

We ran our final boat errand today. Hit up West Marine for some water proof bags to pack our stuff. Who would have thought picking out a bag would be so complicated? What size bag should we get, should we have one big bag or two smaller bags. Nick went with the Venti size bag and I went for two Grande size bags. We shall see who did it right. My dad said "only one bag is allowed on the boat!" Nick so kindly reminded me when we were picking our bags, but....as usual I thought that I would take a chance! It is my dad and I can take the harassment. :)

As we wrap up our first week and begin to pack this is all becoming quite real! I'm just hoping for some good weather for our first week on the boat! Fingers crossed the weatherman is wrong!
